CARLA WEISBERG has been creating patterns for hospitality, retail and residential interiors since opening her studio in 1988. She designs and produces custom surface patterns for a variety of media in collaboration with architects, interior designers, manufacturers and mills. Her techniques range from brush to woodblocks, stencil, collage, silkscreen and digitally printed methods. Carla’s portfolio includes designs for contract and residential fabrics, wall coverings, carpets, lighting and china. Her services also include color-consulting. Restaurant projects include designs for The Strip House, and the venerable, but now shuttered Lutece, as well as projects for Emeril Lagasse, Todd English and Daniel Boulud, among others. Hotel Projects include custom wall coverings for the HR hotel in Vegas, as well as custom paneling for the Hyatt, Boston.  Recent projects include a collection of digital wall coverings for Wolf Gordon's Customs Lab Curated Collection and carpet designs for Crosby Street.

Her influences range from minimalist art, modern architecture, fashion, manhole covers and mid twentieth-century graphics to memories of her favorite children’s book illustrations. She wishes to expand a modernist design vocabulary with less rigid, more playful interpretations of classic, industrial and technological patterns

She received her BFA from the Cooper Union in NY and was an Artist in Residence at the Glassell School of Art, Museum of Fine Art, Houston TX.

Carla lives and works in Manhattan with her husband.
